Welcome to the Great Physician

Office hours are as you come,

He’s a Specialist in all problems

And His day is never done.

He can heal a heart that’s broken

He can mend the spirit, too,

No matter what your ailment

He does have the cure for you.

His fee for service never alters

He serves rich and poor as well,

He’s our one chance for Salvation,

He alone saves us from Hell.

There’s no fee for services rendered

All He asks is that we believe,

That He bled and died to save us

And all His blessings we will receive.

Do you have a special problem

That is troubling you this hour?

Then just simply leave it with Him

You can find no greater power.

Don’t delay in seeking treatment

Please, my friend, don’t hesitate,

For His office is soon closing

And He’ll shut and lock the gate.

I wouldn’t want you to suffer

While the Doctor’s so close by,

Your whole life will be much better

If my Physician you will try.

When I say, “I am a Christian,”
I’m not shouting “I am saved.”
I’m whispering “I was lost”;
That is why I chose this way.

When I say, “I am a Christian,”
I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble,
And need someone to be my guide.

When I say, “I am a Christian,”
I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak,
And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say, “I am a Christian,”
I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed,
And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say, “I am a Christian,”
I’m not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are too visible,
But God believes I’m worth it.

When I say, “I am a Christian,”
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches,
Which is why I speak His name.

When I say, “I am a Christian,”
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority;
I only know I’m loved.

Praise the Lord for Christian Mothers!

God has trusted to their care

little children, precious children,

for His kingdom to prepare.

Sometimes sweet and sometimes frightening

is this awesome task they bear,

but, praise God, He is beside them,

and He hears each mother’s prayer.

Gracious Father, Lord of Heaven,

Thank You for each precious life!

Each a challenge, each a privilege;

Help me show them love, not strife.

Help me stern be when it’s needed;

Tell me when to speak so mild.

Make me worthy, dearest Father,

to be mother of a child.

Gift of God, bestowed upon her –

Mighty challenge from her Lord.

They are His, but graciously He

bids her train them through His Word.

Bring them up to love and serve Him,

tell them of His home above.

Gently lead them to the Savior –

Love them with His boundless love!

I see how you go on from day to day

With smiles for everyone in every way

But deep down inside

I see the pain that you hide

And the hurt that just won’t go away

Give it to me I will take it all

I died for this reason to save your soul

I know it is hard, but you just must let go

At the foot of the cross fall on your knees

And I will hear you when you cry out to me

You do not have to carry this load alone

With the cares that press each day?

Does the burden that you carry

Seem an endless load of pain?

Are you tempted oft to tarry,

Ne’er to lift the cross again?

Don’t despair; the way will brighten;

Arm yourself with strength anew;

Prayer will help the load to lighten;

Faith and hope will strengthen, too.

Keep in mind the thought so cheering,

Those who persevere will win!

Soon you’ll have the joy of hearing,

“Faithful servant, enter in.”

Each night I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
I pray my love to Him each night
and to always keep us in His light.
I know He hears each word I speak
and listens to each and all I seek,
for every morning that I wake
I realize all He’s done for my sake.
Sometimes I ask Him to hold me tight
and to help me make it through the night.
I know He hears each and every prayer,
for I feel His arms and how they care.
I pray that my food He will bless
and I pray He will listen as I confess.
Now I know He hears me as I pray,
for I feel at ease at the end of each day.
I know He hears each time I bow
and I know He’s listening to me right now.
I know my troubles on Him have poured,
but I know He hears, for he’s my Lord.

Before the Altar, bowed, he stands
With empty hands;
Upon it perfumed offerings burn
Wreathing with smoke the sacrificial urn.
Not one of all these has he given,
No flame of his has leapt to Heaven
Fire-souled, vermilion-hearted,
Forked, and darted,
Consuming what a few spare pence
Have cheaply bought, to fling from hence
In idly-asked petition. His sole condition
Love and poverty.
And while the moon
Swings slow across the sky,
Athwart a waving pine tree,
And soon
Tips all the needles there
With silver sparkles, bitterly
He gazes, while his soul
Grows hard with thinking of the poorness of his dole. “Shining and distant Goddess, hear my prayer
Where you swim in the high air!
With charity look down on me,
Under this tree,
Tending the gifts I have not brought,
The rare and goodly things
I have not sought.
Instead, take from me all my life!.

“Upon the wings
Of shimmering moonbeams
I pack my poet’s dreams
For you.
My wearying strife,
My courage, my loss,
Into the night I toss

Golden Divinity,
Deign to look down on me
Who so unworthily

That He will never let you go.

That He’d pour blessings down on you,

And make your grey skies turn to blue.

I prayed that God would give you rest,

And that He’d answer your request.

I asked the Lord to touch your soul,

Fill you with hope and make you whole.

My friend I prayed that you would feel,

His gentle touch reach down and heal.

I said a prayer for you my friend,

My best wishes to you I send.
